VHS to DVD Conversions

VHS tapes degrade over time. Even if your VCR doesn’t eat your VHS tape, the film in it will slowly degrade over time (especially in our dry New Mexico climate), whether you play it often or you don’t. Due to their magnetic makeup and common problems such as stretching and tape creases, VHS tapes can start falling apart in as little as 3 years, whereas DVDs can last anywhere from 20 to (some say) even 250 years.

Looking for the perfect gift? The gift of preserved memories is very personal and heartfelt.

As part of this service Real Image will:

  • Digitize your VHS tapes onto professional archival-grade DVD media.
  • Create chapter markers in your DVD.
  • Print a label on your DVD. If you wish, we can use a digital photo of your own for the label. We print directly onto the face of the DVD so that there is no label that can peel off.
  • Provide your DVD to you in a jewel DVD case.
